The son of a studio photographer, Dani studied Fine Arts at the University of Barcelona (1994-1999), majoring in Film and Photography.

As a camera assistant and operator on commercials, feature films and music videos, he has worked repeatedly for some of the best cinematographers in the world, such as: Remi Adefarasin, Javier Aguirresarobe, Robert Elswit, Greig Fraser, Darius Khondji, Emmanuel Lubetzki, Rodrigo Prieto, Robert Richardson and many more. Dani has also worked on several wildlife documentaries (2003-2007), travelling extensively throughout Africa and Asia.

In 2011, he shot his first feature film, 'The Artist and the Model', for Oscar-winning director Fernando Trueba. A year later, Dani shot his second feature, 'Living Is Easy with Eyes Closed', a film that won six of the top prizes, including Best Film, at the Spanish Film Academy's Goya Awards. Dani is currently working on a new feature film project, a co-production between Spain and Argentina.
